Robert Phillips Death, Obituary – At the Woltz Hospice House in Dobson, North Carolina, on December 22, 2022, Robert Howard Phillips, who was 92 years old at the time of his passing, was pronounced dead. He called the town of King in North Carolina his home. Mr. Phillips was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina, on January 31, 1930. His parents were the late William Phillips and Annie Belton Phillips. Both of his parents have now passed away. After reaching the age of retirement, he resigned from his post at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. In addition to his job at Reynolds, he was extremely enthusiastic about wallpapering and successfully managed a profitable wallpapering business that he had owned and run for more than three decades.
A son, Robert Phillips Jr., and a brother, Jack Phillips, both predeceased him in addition to his parents. He was the last of his family members. When he was still a little child, both of his parents passed away. His grandchildren Deanna Cronkovich, Greg Phillips, Bridget Marsh, Brenda Marsh, Brandon Marsh, Charlie Phillips, and Ashley Talley, as well as ten great grandchildren, are all that are left to carry on his legacy and honor his memory. His daughters Rebecca Smith (Johnny) and Christie Smith, as well as his son Ricky Phillips, as well as his sister Peggy Ann Dean (Joe), are all that are left to carry on his legacy. Rebecca Smith was married to Johnny Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
