John Carmean Obituary, Death – The identity of a man from Danville who was found dead in Urbana on Tuesday after suffering a stab wound to the neck has been made public by the coroner for Champaign County. John R. Carmean, who was 35 years old, was named as the deceased by the coroner, Duane Northrup. Carmean sustained a stab wound in the vicinity of Harmon and Madison Streets in Danville and was subsequently taken to Carle Hospital for further treatment after being transported there. Jesse Landers, who had been identified as a suspect, was located by officers, and he was placed under arrest; he is currently being charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of Carmean.
