Gerard Toner Death, Obituary – On the 31st of December 2022, we are sorry to inform you that Gerard Toner died away unexpectedly but at peace at his home. His passing came on quickly. During this trying time, please know that our thoughts are with you. We pray that he is at peace for all eternity. Priory Road in Dungiven, which is located in County Derry, was where the deceased called home. Beloved son of Frances and the late Gerry, who went away some time ago. Gerry has now passed away. A devoted father to his daughters, Saorlaith and Katelyn. Beloved and revered brother of Geraldine, Louisa, Columba, Marie, Patricia, and Colm, in addition to Patricia and Brendan.
Also brother of Patricia and Colm. Everyone in Gael and Melanie’s extended family, including his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, his nieces and nephews, and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law’s children, will miss him very much, and everyone in his extended family is deeply saddened by his departure. Dungiven is located in County Derry, Ireland, and 863 Glenshane Road is the address of the family house where the deceased was laid to rest. The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 6, and will last until 9.30 p.m. that evening. The doors to the public will be locked in the morning at the historic home.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7th, with the departure from Saint Patrick’s Church in Dungiven at 12.30 p.m. in order to travel there for the Requiem Mass at 1 p.m. The burial took place at the graveyard that was adjacent to the church immediately after the service had concluded. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) and mailed to the care of McLaughlin Funeral Directors.
