Because of his long-term illness, Danny passed away in a calm and dignified manner. He spent his last days surrounded by the people he loved the most in the world, including his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters, and many more loved ones. He cherished his family more than anything else in the entire world.

His parents, Fred and Dean Sheppard, both of Loudon, his brother Ronald Sheppard, his niece Kisty Padgett, and his mother-in-law, Virginia Ruppe, all passed away before Danny.
