Danny Sheppard Death, Obituary – Danny Richard Sheppard, age 67, of Sweetwater, Tennessee, and formerly of Loudon, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, and is now with the Lord. Danny enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, working with wood, and watching Tennessee football. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Previously, he was a co-owner of Leo’s Pulled Pig in Lenoir City and worked as a manager at Advance Auto and Aaron’s Rental Center for a number of years. Every time you saw him, he had a warm smile on his face and encouraging words to share. Everyone adored him. He was the greatest father, bonus father, spouse, pappy/poppy, brother, and friend that the world has ever known.
Because of his long-term illness, Danny passed away in a calm and dignified manner. Danny faced his sickness with the same fortitude and dignity with which he faced all the other challenges that life presented him, and he yearned to spend as much time as possible with the people he cared about. He spent his last days surrounded by the people he loved the most in the world, including his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters, and many more loved ones. He cherished his family more than anything else in the entire world.
His parents, Fred and Dean Sheppard, both of Loudon, his brother Ronald Sheppard, his niece Kisty Padgett, and his mother-in-law, Virginia Ruppe, all passed away before Danny. He is survived by their wife, Kisty, and his son, Danny. He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Tiny) Sheppard; his daughter, Brooke Sheppard Waldrop (Butch); his son, Rodney Sheppard; bonus children, Shelli Hord (Chris), Justin Nichols (Toni); grandchildren Chaslyn Waldrop, Mason Waldrop, Jordan Sheppard Alsup; sisters Eyvonne Padgett and Patricia “Trish” Sheppard Miller (Robin); sister in law Marcia Sheppard; bonus A particular thank you goes out to the Nurses, Doctors, and Staff at Select Specialty Hospital.
Especially Olena, who was like an angel here on earth and took such amazing care of him in the hours leading up to his passing.
