Bernie Walksler Death, Obituary – This morning, in the wee hours of the morning, Bernie Walksler, who was the father of Dale Walksler, passed away at the age of 91. The news of his passing was shared. The sad news of his passing spread throughout the community. We are doing this in spite of the fact that we are filled with a profound sense of sadness over being forced to disclose this information to you. Those of you who had the opportunity to speak with Bernie will have a crystal clear and invigorating memory of the passion he had for both Dale’s vision and the future of the museum.
Those of you who did not get the opportunity will not have that memory. Those of you who were unable to participate in the event will not have that experience to remember it by. Those of you who did not get the opportunity to carry on a discussion with Bernie will not have the experience to think back on. When he worked on the floor, one of his favorite things to do was to talk to visitors, and he will be recognized as the “Number One Museum Supporter” for as long as the museum is open to the general public.
If Bernie had not offered Dale unending love and unflinching support throughout the years, many of Dale’s successes, as well as those of the Wheels Through Time Museum, simply would not have been possible. This is also true for the museum’s achievements. Bernie’s presence in our lives will never be able to be replicated, but he will continue to exist in our remembrances and thoughts for the rest of our lives, and he will never be forgotten. Because of everything that you’ve done, Bernie, I’d like to take advantage of this occasion to express my thanks to you. Thank you.
