Harold Mehler Death, Obituary – In Silex, Missouri on January 3, 2023, Harold “Mick” Lee Mehler passed away at the age of 82. His parents, Harold Richard and Alice Marie (Malloy) Mehler, had him on April 5, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri. On November 18th, 1967, Mick wed Mary Jane Klein at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood, Missouri. Before starting his career as a lineman, Mick worked as a Pepsi driver for numerous years. The Mick Mehler and Sons business continues to be run by the Mehler family. Mick enjoyed his time at work because of the family he found among his coworkers. His interests was in row crops, swine, and cattle.
Mick was always trading farmland for other farms. His and Jane’s “holiday” in Kirksville spawned some of their most treasured memories together. Mick enjoys spending time outdoors with his grandkids, especially when they’re fishing or hunting. He was devoted to his family and knew the value of quality spent together. A room may be illuminated by Mick’s grin. Mick’s siblings include Ethel Worthington of Bowling Green, MO, Ruth Ann Crow (Charlie) of Farber, MO, Gerald Mehler (Cindy) of Silex, MO, and John, George, Rosemary, Barb, and Vickie, who all predeceased him.
His wife of 55 years, Jane Mehler, also survives him, as do their children, Danny Mehler (Jennifer Duvel), George Mehler (Jennifer), Millwood Knights of Columbus Hall, 29 St. Alphonsus Road, Silex, MO 63377, on January 7, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wear flannel or Mick Mehler and Sons attire to the celebration of Mick’s life on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 3 p.m. at the Millwood Knights of Columbus Hall, 29 St. Alphonsus Road, Silex, Missouri 63377.
