Her birth took place in Morgan County on November 7, 1977, and her parents, Junior and Shirley Raye Parker Cox, were the ones who welcomed her into the world. She looked after her family by staying at home and working as a licensed nursing assistant on the side. All the while, she did both jobs well. Her siblings, including a brother called Michael Cox, a sister named Rita Cox, and a son named Keith Davis, all went away before she did. Her parents also passed away before she did.
