Raymond Gopp Death, Obituary – Mr. Raymond Henry Gopp, a long-time citizen of Victoria who was extensively involved with sports in our community and, in particular, with the Gorge Soccer Association and Victoria United, passed away on November 22, 2022. His passing was announced by the Gorge Soccer Association and Victoria United. The Gorge Soccer Association and Victoria United were two of the most famous beneficiaries of Mr. Gopp’s efforts to the sporting community in our area.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our deepest condolences to every member of his family as well as all of his other loved ones. Ray led a self-sufficient and full life, and he was surrounded by family and friends who cared about him and were willing to lend a hand when he needed it. He served as an example to a huge number of people, who looked up to him as a source of motivation. After Ray’s departure, the legacy he leaves behind will be carried on by his sister Elizabeth Andrist, his niece Kathy Collings, and an old acquaintance named Leona Brice.
Elizabeth Andrist, who was fighting against death, has regrettably also succumbed to her illness after Ray’s passing. Ray worked for a single company, Victoria Box and Stationery, throughout the entirety of his working life, and he took a great deal of satisfaction in the work that he did there. Those who are invited to a party in honor of Ray’s life will gather in the McKenzie Room of the Union Club of British Columbia in the afternoon on the 12th of January, 2023. The Union Club of British Columbia is located at 805 Gordon Street in Victoria. The event will go on from 2:00 to 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon. There will be a get-together in honor of Ray, and all of his closest friends have been extended a warm invitation to attend and raise a glass in his honor.
